I can't answer your questions quantitatively (I'm not a bot :).

I would definitely take this.

Right now Blue has 7 1/2 checkers in the zone, only a two point board AND a blot in his board (which he'll likely cover this turn, but not guaranteed -- 28 covers?).

White is somewhat hampered by owning his acepoint. (It could still carry it's weight, but not with all game types that develop.)

Is cover+fan a market loser? Maybe, but I'd take that chance, particularly since I believe most White's will still take (I suspect I would).

As far as Double vs. Redouble, maybe there is a Jacoby effect, but I would hold in either case.
