He was a decent gin player but it frustrated the hell out of him that right when we started I'd stack the discards all nice and neat. He said people usually didn't do that so they could kind of see 'what had been played'.

That's pretty funny. Any deep insights into gin? I've always had a passing interest in gin. Big Stu Ungar fan. Unfortunately, 99% of what people have said on the subject is so basic that any fish could have written it. The only book that's caught my interest is the one on Carol Joy Cole's website, and only because of its price tag.

Any advice on how to get better at poker? My usual approach to things is to find the best players I can and learn from them, but I can't play middle or high stakes because I have no bankroll. Read a fair number of books and 2+2 posts on the subject. I played small stakes on Party for awhile a few years ago, but then I just lost interest.
