The back checker looks fine where it sits. Black is looking for a chance to pounce; make that spot his worst possible.

Six on the mid- is six too many. :) Well, at least four too many. 13/11.

11/10 or 6/5?

The stripped 8-point might hold the answer. But what is that answer? Fewer clean covers for the slot but fewer free builders to go with the 10-point blot.

Magriel's safe-vs-bold indicates 'safe'. Fewer checkers back and no anchor of your own vs. opp's anchor.

13/10 isn't exciting, but is White really looking for excitement?
