MCG -- Ray Match

A similarily time-dependant cube decition happened in the Norwegian Champ semis this year. Fredriksen is leading Selbaek 14-8/17, holding a 2 cube in slightly better than a two-roll position (012000 vs 121000, loses 12.4%). Obviously a clear no-double / take in theory, but Fredriksen is getting short on time - not yet down to seconds, but at 1:something AFAIR, and have been showing no signs of speeding up his play so far. So he has basically used most of his reserve, and if the match goes the distance he will most probably experience time trouble - running risks of forfeiting on time, or not being able to play to the best of his ability.

It is not at all easy to go about evaluating this, but I believe that in practice Fredriksen was right to force the issue by doubling, and that the take while being much closer than the theoretical monster take was still correct.
