Are all premature actions necessarily bad?

I've been in this situation from the other side of the table. I've had a player or several say "I'm going to double when you are finished with your checkerplay, if that helps you make your decision...."

More than once it has, but not every time.

I would prefer this, but if I were playing you, Rich, and you prematurely cubed, trying to get the same idea across, I wouldn't get bent out of shape.

I think often it depends upon whom you are playing. If it were Joe vs. Ray, well, I hope this wouldn't come up. :)
