double 3's to play

Welcome, Adam. (BTW, I don't read comments when positions are posted, just in case you already said what someone else said, or what you actually did. I just look at the position.)
The big question here is "should Blue step up to the 17-point? That is a bit racy when behind 12 pips (Blue on roll -- 8+4). It gets a shot (direct) next turn on only three rolls that I can find: 4-1 and 5-5.
Staying back can be played a couple ways, but 7/1 with 5/2(2) allows Blue to hang back longer. Also, here I see seven White rolls {4-1, 5-1, 6-2, 4-4} that produce five or six shots next turn. That's almost as many shots as moving up leads to.
If Blue gets one checker pushed off the 20-point he still has one, which is partly looking down a barrel but not all White's 6's will hit cleanly.
I'm going with the traditional (thematic) play of staying back as far as possible when trailing in the race.
Summary: 7/1, 5/2(2).
