Tournament Rules and Procedures announcements

Instead of getting your first round match assignment off of the draw sheet, you get a slip of paper with the name of your opponent and the number of points the first match is to. That paper also has ALL unusual or different rules or rule changes and any other policies relative to mandatory clocks, breaks, leaving the room, etc. that are essential for the player to know.
This is the best idea I've heard in a long time. The other way this benefits is for the people the beginner's section, who often need some guidance. I like the way Patrick Gibson runs his beginner's section -- he seats them right up near the directors so that he can keep an eye on them and be ready to answer questions when they come up.
This sheet can be pre-printed, so that when the draw comes, the director needs to write names down on a sheet for each person. JLee, playing John Smith, 11 points. Then another sheet, John Smith playing JLee, 11 points. Then John and I each get one of these sheets.
At our weekly tournaments, Carter and I have copies of the basic rules of tournament play which we give to every new player who walks in the door, and it is available for anyone to review (and many do).
I'm stealing this idea.
