Not at all. I am not seeking for money 15 years later. As part of a reply, I am interested in quantifying, if it is possible, the value of this error.

I never meant that. By compensation, I was not meaning a financial compensation, but a proper way to correct the blatant mistake in real time (I remind you that I have reported the mistake after I had lost the match but BEFORE the next one had started). Refer to the title of this thread: How would TD rule it ?

And at that time, if I were a TD, my settlement would have been to cancel the match, giving the player a bye, and yes mechanically letting him be in the money but only because this situation occurred in the last four. But has it happened in the previous rounds, I would have ruled the same way: cancel the match equating to give a bye.

Isn't it fair ?
