You aren't deserving of any compensation. You had to play SOMEBODY in the semi-finals, and just because the staff put this ineligble player on the draw sheet doesn't discount the fact that you still lost. You would have no increased expectation of winning if you played someone else.

The only person that has a (trivial) claim is the last person that 'lost' his bye in the first round, because there was one too many players in the draw.
