My opinion will differ from most here, as does sometimes happen when it comes to "rules".

If your dice had allready stopped on 1, you keep it, but if your dice hasn't stopped and was fouled by your opp's illegal action rolling on your side, you should have your choice of whether to keep the roll or not. This is bcuz the punishment should fit the crime and if you don't do it this way, then who's to stop an unscrupulous opp from rolling his die into your dice as it is just about to stop on a 6?
