I now lead by 12 pips (16 with opp on roll). That's enough that I don't want to leave blots around (so leave the checkers on the 8-point alone) and also enough that I don't want to hang back and risk getting stuck there ==>16/13(2). The question seems to be whether I want to block opp's 6's by continuing 13/10(2) -- risking future trouble for myself clearing that point -- or just lay off the heavy 6-point with 6/3(2).

It certainly looks like White can take a cube either way, so that doesn't enter into the picture. My conclusion is that I'm going to need to keep playing this game for a few rolls so I may as well block opp's 6's, giving me a good landing spot for my midpoint checkers as well. I'll just have to deal with clearing the 10-point later.

Summary: 16/10(2).
