I make the 5pt pretty quickly, and stop debating the merits of other plays. Really, I just dont think there's much else to it. Any other play choice, and you are finding yourself uncommitted, and trying to do too much in too many places. Just make the pure play, and see what happens from there.

When playing against a potential 'whatever-type-game', you have to focus on what you are trying to achieve, not what your opponent is. Ever noticed how the bots most often just scoop up blots playing against a backgame? Similar theory here. Just make a nice play, and if theres some scooping to do later on, get busy.
