Question about 4 ply XG cube rollouts

It sounds like you're asking if 4-ply cube evaluations are in some sense done "cubefully" when you do a cubeful rollout. I would be very surprised if this is the case. Almost surely, when you do a live-cube rollout, what happens is that the standard evaluation function is called as a subroutine in order to make cube decisions. And surely what a standard 4-ply cube decision does is to do a cubeless 4-ply evaluation of the position with and without the cube turned, comparing the results.
What I think you're hoping for is for Xavier to implement rollouts where the evaluations are done using XGR or XGR+. Assuming that XGR/XGR+ does live-cube truncated rollouts, the cube decisions during the rollout would be "done right" in your sense (or at least closer to being done right---even if XGR does live-cube truncated rollouts, XGR would still be relying on cubeless evals for its mini-rollouts).
