I did it again, using "cubeless" in an unfortunate manner. Gotta find a better way of expressing myself.

What I meant to say is that 4-ply evaluations during a cubeful rollout are surely done in exactly the same way as they are when you ask directly for a 4-ply evaluation of a cube decision. There isn't a "live cube" version of 4-ply evaluation that is especially invoked when doing live-cube rollouts. At least, this is my understanding.
