You seem to be underestimating of the size of fish one can find on the turn-based sites. I have had matches with a 800 ELO difference on Dailygammon - and still that's the one where one finds the best playing standard.

Since 500 ELO is already a huge difference I would hold the cube here and hope for getting a take after hitting. But I have no idea about the MET with such a difference.
