Looks to me that black has nothing offensively and wants to be consolidating. The 2 point is of little value if the hit there works (particularly since black's 20 point anchor takes away virtually all blitz potential), and there is compensation when black breaks anchor and hits from the 5 point. Meanwhile, white has a defensive advanced anchor and is behind in the race. A blot left on the bar point not only is a better point to cover, but failing that, creates more opportunities to make a good homeboard point. I'd take advantage of black's momentary awkwardness to try to make a positional improvement.
