This looks to me like a very interesting decision.

Imagine this was pure GG. What would the play be? 8/2* looks nearly automatic.

Note that at this score and cube location we risk 36 to gain 32 on a win vs. try for G decision. BUT we also have cube access. Are we better off going the gammon route or trying for an efficient (as in doubling at the drop/take line) cube turn?

Given the second White blot on the midpoint, I think the gammon route is the right way. Think of it another way: if Pottle rules here and we're missed, is White even close to a (68% GWC) take?
