Have you re-saved your preferences? And after doing so, the problem persists? I've had some issues where all I needed to do was go into the Preferences page and hit "save" - not changing anything - and everything is back to normal.

I don't know if it is the same nasty problem several of us had last year, but if so, here is the post that gives the fix and allows the problem to be recreated at will.
