Santa Fe Update

A very nice pre-tourney dinner last night attended by 40-50 and a nice little doubles tourney in the restaurant thereafter. It was held at the Cafe Paris which is located near the main square on the appropriately named thoroughfare Burro Alley -- might not quite fit with Cafe Paris, but what the heck.

I didn't stay for the final of the main which was being played between Mary Hickey/Bob Koca vs. a local pair (I believe). Ken Bame and I survived a first round bad beat to Norm Wiggins/Patrick Gibson to come back and win the consolation final over CJC and partner.

Ed Rosenblum sent out an e-mail link to a little local press today. They are really doing a great job of trying to promote the tourney. (On my preview of this message the entire link below did not show as the same color, but the entire line is the link.)
