Bareoff -- definition

I like the colorful suggestion made by Bill and others relating bareoff to strip backgammon, but I thought I'd suggest alternatives for the glossary."Bare" means exposed or stripped. Hence, I propose any or all of the following definitions:
bareoff
1. A bearoff in which one or more direct shots are exposed.
2. A direct shot left in the bearoff (exposing a blot).
3. A bearoff in which points are stripped, with a danger of exposing a double shot.
4. Any bearoff with an opponent's blot(s) or point(s) still to be hurdled; i.e., contact remains. When the only inside point made (aside from the 6pt) is the 1pt it is considered to be "naked." So, an alternative definition of "bareoff" might be a bearoff in which checkers are removed from the naked ace point (truly naked, though, without even the 6pt). In such a position, a player's position is entirely flush, and indeed his face may be flush not only due to nakedness but also because he has wasted so many pips. He may even be subject to nude remarks.
Years ago, when I googled certain extensions of my name like "nackbg" the search engine would ask me, "Did you mean "naked"?
