Chiva: awesome response as to how it should be handled by the TD. The game of tournament BG cannot tolerate bad behavior. It is a gentleman's game and the TD's need to insure that incidents are handled with a firm hand as to what's not acceptable. Imposing "silence", penalty points and up to and including disqualification are absolutely in our set of tools.

Timeliness is essential in addressing behavior issues, in order to nip them in the bud. Not only should either involved player request a TD, but if observers recognize improper play or behavior, they too can seek out the TD to give an early alert to "brewing problems". Of course, an observer cannot make any comment at the table, only find the TD and give him/her a heads up.

Great response _____________patrick (the MFIC)
