I can respect that a novice might not know any better. That said, Watson, note the other new fact from Bill's post - the fact that an appeals committee had to be called!

It's one thing to ask the director for a ruling in a spate of honest confusion, but quite another to insist that the director is wrong and escalate it to the next level. In my line of work the player would be sanctioned for taking a frivolous appeal.
