In Response To: Touch moves (Gregg Cattanach)

The only 'rule' I would change is that undoing of a test move must be made completely, not partially.

I think this would be a good compromise, and also you could require that you must signal a retraction and get consent that you have indeed recreated the original position before making your alternative move.

This way you can cut down on the problems, and shuffling would incur more of a cost in a clocked game. Also, this is a procedure that can be adopted by anyone and could help set a precedent on how to better address the shuffling issue.
