No, actually baffleboxes are never in use in Denmark (not to my knowledge). I think only 1% of the players or less owns one. The DBgF don't have enough for an entire field (or anything close to that). But when we re-wrote the rules, we didn't want to keep the restrictions that was in there (our previous rules was roughly a Danish translation of the old US rules). So we opened the possiblity for the TD to control this, just as he can in regards to the clock.
Most of the time, but especially if I'm TD, I bring one or two baffleboxes myself (which I leave in my car), so I have the option of forcing people to use it, if they cannot manage to shake and throw properly. But I haven't had any use for it yet.
Some years ago, we had a very active player (and TD for a lot of small "Café" tourneys), who was a true believer in baffleboxes. He always brought a couple of them and he always forced his opponents to use them - even newcomers and in tourneys that otherwise did not have bafflebox preference. The result was a massive opposition to bafflebox use, even though this guy thought he did the right thing!
