How about John O'Hagan. He is very active on this site with his outstanding analysis and I doubt anyone in the U.S. is much better, at least judging by a combination of analysis, respect, and results.

Another hero of mine is Ed O'Laughlin. I think he is over 70. Twenty-five years ago I never thought ED would be a top player. He has worked hard and consistently improved, year after year. I now consider him to be one of the top five players in the U.S. and his results bear this out. It is wonderful to see someone his age dominating the fields.

Both of these gentleman are among the last players I would want to face in a tournament but among the most enjoyable to play.
