Professional basketball and football have different rules from college and amateur. Why can't there be separate rules for Open (professional level) and other players?

Open players should have no problem with touch/move; no problem with clocks; no problem about being "nervous" if someone is recording the match or even broadcasting it via podcast; and there are several other areas that could be changed to make the Open division more interesting and challenging that I would like to see some day that I won't go into at this time.

I agree with David and others that we want to keep the game friendly and easy for beginners and for players who are still learning the game and the current rules, but Open players can easily adjust, especially when they see the benefits of rule changes such as touch/move.

In a few years, after the intermediates see Open players using touch/move, they will get used to it and maybe they, too, will want to change to that rule.
