Backgammon rules

I agree with Gregg.

I believe that it is best that rules are the same everywhere. In my opinion, it is the approach that the director takes with infractions that may differ. For beginners, there should be education and patience; for intermediates, perhaps warnings on a case by case basis depending on how experienced the players are known to be; for open, the response should generally be intolerant of infractions with the explanation "these are the rules and you guys should know better".
