2-stage baffle box?

I wonder if it is possible to design a two-stage baffle box. In this baffle box, the dice don't go all the way through on their own -- a trap door keeps them inside until a lever is pressed to let the dice fall out. You use it like this:

Player A finishes his turn, picks up the (shared) dice, drops them into the baffle box where they fall part way through and are invisible. Player A gives the baffle box a shake so you can hear the dice clicking around inside, and hands the box over to Player B. (If clocks are used, this is when Player A punches the clock.)

Player B can shake the box some more if he wants, then he presses the lever that lets the dice fall out. And that's B's roll.
