2-stage baffle box?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the boxes used at the LA club like a pachinko machine, with many wires going across the path of the dice? The other design is three or four textured ramps that the dice have to negotiate.

Which style were the ones that the mechanics were able to set the dice and fix the resulting roll?
