Since several people asked, here is the position prior to my previous roll. As you can see, I didn't have a recube. Then I rolled double 2s. Following that, my opponent rolled 5-1.

Thank you everyone for your comments. Please know that I did not intend to be an A-hole here. I honestly did not know the etiquette involved. OTB, in the heat of the moment, after I rolled the double 2s and my opp rolling 5-1, I quickly thought, the position is now Double/Drop, and hit the Cube button without thinking of anything else. -Marc
