A conundrum

Joe "Clocks are used to prevent slow play, not to deprive someone of their turn. You are required to hit your clock when it is your turn, even when closed out. People often do this robotically for many turns and occasionally do not notice they have an opportunity to enter when a point opens and inadvertently hit their clock. This is not, or should not, be legal. IMHO, they should be required to roll when it is their turn"
Neil replies that he hopes that this become a written rule for all US play and that he hopes the Danes change their rule to reflect what is common sense and fair play here.
