In Response To: Another director ruling (Bill Riles)

It's clear he was taking a shot because the original post said he was about to shake hands. Maybe in the real world we wouldn't know that, but it's part of the question as stated.

From an ethical standpoint, the important thing is that it's not OK to take a shot just because no one can prove you were taking a shot. Of course everyone who pretends not to notice their opponent's scorekeeping error will act like it was just an innocent mistake. But in my view, they're cheating. Whether we can prove it or not is a separate issue.
