For double/no double errors XGR+ has a total error of (Missed Double 0.885 + Wrong Double 0.570) 1.455. 4-ply has a total error of (Missed Double 0.374 + Wrong Double 1.428) 1.802. Similarly with take/pass errors of XGR+ 1.034 and 4-ply 1.080.

I don't think it is possible to say a priori something was a missed double, correct double, or wrong double. Similarly for wrong take/correct take/wrong pass/correct pass. If it's not possible to say a priori the correct cube action then it makes sense to go with the ply that is the strongest for D/ND or T/P decisions.
