Rollout Result

I am a goal-oriented person. I believe in setting goals and working hard to reach them. My goal for this year was to learn how to post positions and rollout results and Stick's Web site.

I thought I had mastered the art and science of posting the blue and white diagrams until I got an e-mail today from someone informing me, "One other thing...if it is not too much trouble for you, I think it would be slightly more convenient for me and some other bgonline readers if you were to post positions using GNU or XG directly rather than using the facility at apbg.net. If you post using apbg.net then I can't actually view your positions from my computer at work because apbg.net is blocked by our firewall. Also, the position tends to load faster if you use GNU or XG directly.

Thanks for your valuable contributions to bgonline, by the way! I have learned a lot from them already and look forward to more of the same."

Just when I thought I might be ready to learn how to post rollout results, I have to start all over again and learn how to post the basic positions first.

I wish Stick would add a new item to the menu bar here on his Web site, "Everything you wanted to know about posting postions and rollout results but were afraid to ask."

In spite of this disappointing setback, I still have nine months left to reach my goal before the end of the year of learning how to post postions and rollout results on this Web site. I will keep you informed of my progress in this area.

I rolled out the Cleveland Update #1 position 1296 times on XG. Sorry, but I do not know how to post rollout results, so I will just have to tell you that it is a very close take, worth .982. Not doubling was a triple whopper. It is worth only .708 after no double. Not easy for me to live with myself after realizing I made such a huge error. If I had studied it a bit more, I should have been able to figure it out.
