Doubling Sportmanship Question

I would have just rolled and taken the two points. If someone doubled me in this position I would frown and click "decline". Your opponent's comments were completely out of line and far out of proportion to any possible intended maliciousness on your part. If my opponent talked to me that way I would gag them and never play them again if I had the choice. (Obviously in a tournament you don't choose your opponents) As far as someone doubling and hoping for a mistaken click, as others have said, you are responsible for paying attention while playing and that includes making sure to decline a double here or declining when presented with an offer to resign a single game when a gammon is certain.
