Advancing your anchor to the 21-point isn't urgently needed so I'd make the 4-point with the last 2 deuces. That gives you a stronger board which helps you in a lot of ways -- 1)It makes any future hit more powerful for you 2)Gives the oppt fewer ways to hit on your 10-point 3)Combos of 2s,3s, and 5s are now blocked so the oppt has fewer ways to split or run from the 24 and your stronger board makes it more dangerous for him to do so as well.

I'm no GNU expert but I think you should use 2-ply checker play.
