I generally like the format. It seems like a fair way of dealing with byes. UBK seems to have identified some flaws in the clock/penalty setup. And I definitely like Jacoby! Nothing is more tedious than suffering while opponent plays on for a miniscule percentage undoubled G. If rebuys make it too expensive, then the initial entry fee could be lowered.

I'd like to see this at least as a side event.
