In cubeless BG you maximize cubeless equity

In cubeful BG you maximize cubeful equity

When has a move a higher cubeful equity than another move but a lower cubeless equity? The only thing that comes to my mind is if you avoid jokers of the opponent, if you can double him out at the next opportunity.
