Opening rollouts in DB?

What I have understood from the workings of other bots is that their neural nets will give a cubeless evaluation of the wins/gammons/bg of a particular position: Then to those numbers some formula is applied account for the cube value.
This works for $ and ATS and it would still work for calculating equities ATS based on rollout results.
Or does XG work differently?
