I always hit just one button for roughly the amount of time I need. For example, there's an 'add 30' button that is 30 seconds (soften up bread) or a potato button that is 5 minutes, etc...I can't be assed to type in 2:22, that's a lot of work.

You've got a better microwave than I do. I can't put in 5 minutes without typing in 5 0 0 START. So instead, I'd put in 4 4 4 START, so then I just go BAM BAM BAM on the 4 key instead of fishing around.

The amount of time I've saved over my entire life with this method has just been squandered by talking about it.
