Which doublets are hardest to play?

Postion 1:
I don't really want to play behind opp's anchor. Purest is 13/9(2), 8/4(2) but that leaves three blots, even if one of them gets hit with duplicated 5's. Too loose for me.
Given my earlier constraint (stay in front of opp's anchor), 13/9(2) is looking like half the roll. No value in leaving a blot on the midpoint, so 13/9. Now it's either 10/6 or 9/5. (8/4 is possible but doesn't seem right to me since next turn, splitting off the 24-point will take priority.) Although keeping a checker on the 10-point 'saves' a six, the only combo dice it helps out on is 6-4 assuming you will run with 6-1 and 6-2. Meanwhile it does leave four shots plus a blot that may need to be cleaned up (while you're giving priority to the farside of the board).
I'll just finish with 10/6, making my full play:
13/9(3), 10/6.
Problem 2:
This seems easier (should I be worried? :). 8/4*(2). Then I would block the remaining opp checker with 13/9(2). Blue seems to be getting close to a cube here so I don't see any reason to over-extend or go out-on-a-limb by leaving shots (e.g. making the barpoint with 15/7[2]). The 15-point doesn't concern me right now.
Summary: 8/4*(2), 13/9(2).
