Stick is exactly right...you can promote a pawn to any piece you want, so in theory each side could end up with as many as ten knights.
As I said, this would never happen in practice. Once in a long while, in a real game, there will arise a situation where promoting to a knight is correct. For example maybe you execute a combination where you sacrifice your queen so that you can promote your pawn to a knight that forks the king and queen so you get your queen back and wind up a piece ahead, whereas promoting to a queen would leave both you and your opponent with a queen each. But King and Queen versus King and four Knights will never come up in a real game. The computer analysis is fascinating in a weird kind of way, though.
