In Response To: Chess vs. backgammon (Nack Ballard)

According to the XG Elo calculator, a 200 Elo advantage produces a 76% win rate in a 25 point match. My previous conjecture that 200 Elo represents one level in backgammon like in chess seems right on the mark.

Based on recent discussion, if we assume 1.0 PR ~ 33 Elo and 1.0 ER ~ 36 Elo, a 200 Elo difference would correspond to about 6.0 PR and 5.5 ER. Thus a 2.0 ER has 3:1 odds against an 8.5 ER. This seems far more in line with my experience.
