The Options caption says "Wrong Double Take is an error". It is checked by default.

This has nothing to do with early double.

If unchecked if you double incorrectly and your opponent make the wrong take action you are not charged with an error.

This has been discussed on BGO last year. most players (but surely not all) agree that the default behavior (it is an error) is better. But as some still argument it was not an error, it is still an option you can turn on.
