I think you're right about the x-overs. I came up with my winning chance estimates using the Kleinman count for the Ward-adjusted pip counts. Ward's rule for checkers in the outfield is just a half pip penalty per checker which is clearly too little in these positions (if the GNU evals cited in a since-deleted post in this thread are correct). Looks like I was about 5% low for the favorite in all cases.
