Why say no to have your matches recorded?

We use paper ballots in Canada and it works pretty well. I like the fact that a physical ballot goes into the box and that human scrutineers watch as the ballot box is opened and the votes are counted.

But internet voting is surely the future. Some people have disabilities that prevent them from going to a polling station and/or reading a paper ballot. And there is the convenience and time factor. How many more people would vote if they could do it in a couple minutes from wherever they happen to be?

Even for verification, I think electronic technology is a net positive. You file your taxes by internet. You do your banking by internet. Why not vote by internet? It is just a matter of getting used to the idea.
