I think that the key feature of this position is that positionally, you are worse off. If you don't press your advantage of the hit now, Black consolidates, and you will face a better board, better prime, and outfield control. So you should prevent Black from consolidating. You have 14 checkers in the zone, so if you put up 2 you have a good a good chance to gain sufficient tempi for building your board and escaping the back checker (probably throwing in a double somewhere along the way).
