20/15(2) 8/3(2) in both positions for me. In the first, there remains some minor contact after the play, but the home board spares are well positioned, so even if white enters with an immediate ace (the other dice will not play well), we would have good follow ups. The other scenario - we make the home board, then break, then white enters is more threatening.
In the second position, White's home board is weak. If you let white play (20/10(2)), he may create some new point and have counterplay after a hit. So hit and move out, with the plan of leaving any shots that may need to be left (mostly indirects) before White has organized counterplay. Both 20/10(2) and 8/3*(2) 20/15(2) are not going to leave many shots, so the main difference is in the amount of counterplay hitting a shot offers White. Making the board is bad here I think - in case you break and white enters, white will have quite some time to build a position before hitting a shot.
