Annoyed... two steps forward, two steps backward

I think we all struggle with this Jason, I know I do. The closer to the top you get, the harder progress becomes. You are a fine player and your results have been impressive. I, for one, have never beaten you. Your OLM's are a great tool for learning how top world class players think about positions.
Suggestions I would make would be: organize your errors into groups so that you can identify the types you are repeatedly making-they should include checker play and cubes decisions ATS. The more reference positions you have, the easier it will be to make correct decisions; incorporate known reference positions, such as the Depreli positions, into your groups; use the progression feature in Extreme to see how you are progressing with the cube and checker play and work extra hard in the area you are making the slowest progress in; play against or kibitz matches of stronger players on Gridgammon and note what they do differently than you, analyze why; take a few lessons from a teacher that plays better than you-there aren't many.
Variability in play is common among Open level players. I have seen players play a match at 2.0 and play the next match at 11.0. Keep working and I think you will be happy with your improvement.
