(1) I want two crossovers with 4-2 and 8/6 13/9 is my play. 13/9 13/11 should also be good. I don't worry about filling the 5 point. There are six more checkers to bring in and surely one or more will be placed on the 5 point. And if an empty five point looks bad to you, what about the 4-stack on the midpoint that 11/5 leaves?
(2) I clear the midpoint, 13/9 13/11. Nothing else looks obviously better. I don't play 10/6 13/11, although it may be as good (or better) because the resulting position looks like I may end up with more checkers on the six point than I want yo have.
(3) First I play 12/8, then 11/7, then 8/4, then 6/2 relieving the stack on the 6 point and filling the 2 point, noting that it doesn't cost me a roll and the 5 point has only 2 checkers on it; I don't want 6 checkers on the 6 point with that weak 5 point.
(4) As you saw after you played your play, 5/off (fives always bear off) and with that 6/4 should be best. If you play 4/2 you can bear off with 1 deuce but it's quite possible you'll roll another and miss with it, which leaves you no better off than if you've played 6/4. You don't want 4 on the 6 point with an empty 5 point and a soon to be empty 4 point.
